Professional Stand-up Contest Rules
- Entry is invitation only.
- All routines will be no longer than ten (10) minutes. Routines longer than ten (10) minutes will be disqualified.
- All performers must show up on time for performance call or will be disqualified.
- Order will be determined by a random draw one hour prior to show time.
- Preliminary round winners will be determined by a vote from a panel of industry professionals.
- Final round winners will be determined by a vote from a panel of industry professionals.
- All performers must sign a video recording and media waiver.
Winners
First Place will receive $5,000 cash, Great American Comedy Festival Trophy, and other prizes. Second Place will receive $3,000 cash, Great American Comedy Festival Trophy, and other prizes. Third Place will receive $2,000 cash, Great American Comedy Festival Trophy, and other prizes.
Submission Policy
Eddie Brill will be holding auditions in major cities around the country beginning in January 2008. The top performers, determined by a panel of judges will receive coach round trip airfare to Omaha, Nebraska and lodging during the festival and ground transportation to and from Omaha to Norfolk.

Amateur Hour
- This will be limited to the first 20 people that register.
- Amateur will be defined as six (6) years or less of stand up experience.
- Registrations will be taken online with a $25 entry fee to be paid in cash the day of the performance.
- First day to register will be May 1, 2008.
- Call time will be 6:00 pm sharp. No exceptions.
- All routines will be no longer than five (5) minutes. Routines longer than five (5) minutes will be disqualified.
- Order will be determined by a random draw one hour prior to show time.
- A standby list will be kept for those that do not show up at call time or do not pay the entry fee.
- Winner will be determined by a vote of the audience.
- All entries will receive one admission pass to the Friday night final event.
- Event will be held at the Johnny Carson Theater at 7:00 pm.

- Winner will receive a private one-on-one consultation with Eddie Brill.
